Throwback Thursday: Vikings vs. Chiefs – December 20, 1981

The Minnesota Vikings played their last game at Metropolitan Stadium on December 20, 1981 against the Kansas City Chiefs.

The 6-10 loss capped a 7-9 losing season before the team moved into it’s new stadium, the Hubert H. Humphrey Metrodome.

Quarterback Tommy Kramer‘s leading receiver was running back Tony Galbreath with seven receptions for 60 yards. Galbreath was also the Vikings leading rusher with 55 yards on 11 attempts. The Vikings only scorer was kicker Rick Danmeier, with two field goals.
