1987 NFC Wildcard: Vikings vs Saints

After a disasterous start, the Vikings settled in and dominated the New Orleans Saints in the 1987 NFC Wildcard game, which was held on January 3, 1988 at the Louisana Superdome.

In 1987 the Minnesota Vikings featured a rotating quarterback tandem of Tommy Kramer and Wade Wilson. The quarterbacks had Darrin Nelson to hand off to and tight end Steve Jordan and receivers Athony Carter, Leo Lewis and Hassan Jones to throw to.

The Vikings defense was star-studded throughout the roster, including linemen Chris Doleman, Keith Millard, and Hank Thomas; linebacker Scott Studwell; cornerbacks Issiac Holt and Carl Lee; and safety Joey Browner.
