Updated 11/15/2019: The Vikings activated wide receiver Josh Doctson from the injured reserve list to the 53-man roster today. He will wear number 13.

Doctson (6-2, 205) joined the Vikings after being released by Washington on Saturday, August 31.

The fourth-year pro has appeared in 33 career games with 26 starts, all with Washington, while making 81 career receptions for 1,100 yards, scoring eight touchdowns. Doctson was selected 22nd overall in the 2016 NFL Draft by Washington, where he was teammates with QB Kirk Cousins from 2016-18. Doctson was teammates with tackle Aviante Collins at TCU from 2013-15.

The Vikings signed tackle Aviante Collins from the practice squad to fill out the 53 man roster.

Collins (6-4, 292) spent the first 10 weeks of the season on the practice squad after being waived during final cuts.

He signed by Minnesota as an undrafted free agent in 2017 and saw action in four regular season games in his rookie season. During Minnesota’s playoff run that season, Collins played on offense and special teams against both the Philadelphia Eagles and New Orleans Saints.

Khari Blasingame Signs With Titans

Unfortunately for the Vikings, the reasons for the practice squad moves is that the team lost fullback Khari Blasingame to the Tennessee Titans, who signed him to their 53-man roster.

Good for him but bad for us.

I was really excited about Blasingame’s game, so to speak, during the preseason.

But with all-world fullback C.J. Ham ahead of him, there likely wasn’t much chance of Blasingame touching a regular season field.
