Throwback Thursday

The 2011 San Diego Chargers are a far different team than the 2007 version that gave up a record 296 yards to then-rookie Adrian Peterson and NFL teams are acutely aware of his talents now, so don’t get your hopes up. But that doesn’t mean we can’t enjoy his record-setting performance for the Throwback Thursday before the rematch.

The Vikings hosted the Chargers on November 4, 2007 at the Hubert H. Humphrey Metrodome for a 35-17 victory on the back of Peterson’s record-breaking performance. Adrian Peterson ran 30 times for 296 yards and scored three touchdowns. He had a long run of 64 yards, was targeted twice with passes and caught one for 19 yards, putting him at 315 yards from scrimmage.
