Ben Weaver was born in Eugene, Oregon, but was raised primarily in St. Paul, Minnesota. Weaver dropped out of college to travel and accumulate the experience that would inform his songs. In 1999, he released his debut album, El Camino Blues. His sophomore album, Living in the Ground, was released in 2001. In 2002 he released Hollerin’ At A Woodpecker followed by his Stories Under Nails album in 2004. Ax in the Dark came out in 2008.
